ELLUR - DREAM OF MINE // SINGLE REVIEW

  ' Dream of Mine ' is a gentle track, filled with pensive moments, a gritty guitar melody that transports you, the drums brings almost a sense of peace, they are not rushing the song but surround the rest of the instrumentation warmly, making you fall completely into its rhythm.  We then have the vocals from Ellur, there is a softness to her voice that injects the emotion of what the song is and needs, there is a hint of calm contrasted with strong feelings of frustation, as Ellur mentions how the song came to be: ‘ Dream of Mine ’ was written a very long time ago about feeling selfish for wanting to pursue a career that requires a lot of sacrifices. I was feeling insecure and worried my long-term partner would decide that being with a musician would be too much for them.
