VICTORIA SPONGE - TALK ABOUT TONIGHT

Victoria Sponge return with their new single 'Talk About Tonight', the second track from their EP 'Filthy Pure'.  The high energy blistering rock sound that this track produces is packed full with so much attitude, as it charges forward at an unstoppable pace, with the rhythm building to the point where you are just unable to sit still and it does not let up until the track comes to an abrupt stop.  The gritty distorted guitar riffs hits you with an abundance of force, coursing through with the thumping bass line sitting underneath and accompanying the lively drums.  Staying at that intense driving level continuously throughout giving the track a presence that hits hard, telling you it has arrived and ready to take you from 0 to 60 in a matter of seconds.  Chris's vocals are delivered with a boldness that commands your attention, the three note piano melody that can be heard brings that eerie edge to the track as it plays to those minor tones and really makes you sit on the edge of your seat.  The track ends just as quickly as it began, which only means that you have to play it again.  and 'Talk About Tonight' is another example of how the guys are continually evolving and pushing their sound.
