CLOUD HOUSE - BROKEN

 As soon as this song began there was that feeling of comfort and nostalgia yet a fresh sound from the rush of guitars that completely engulfs you and instantly has you hooked.  The song mixes indie rock with elements of pop which fit together so perfectly to create such an atmospheric sound.  The edginess of the guitars provided that perfect ground for the synth bringing that upbeat tempo.  The raw vocals cut right through the lively rhythm, with extremely heartfelt lyrics that delve into friendship that is slowly drifting apart, there is a vulnerability “where’s your mind at now your moving, where’s your heart at now your home” a friendship that is long distance and you know it’s coming to an end but you try your best to save it “I’ve got the answers but the bridge to you is broken” and energetic track underpinned with a sadness and heartache that listeners will relate to and a warmth that brings a touch of comfort.  A definite sing along stadium ready song, that would send the crowd crazy, with the soaring melody.  Exploring the alternative world of relationships the breakdown of a friendship, a topic that you do not hear within songwriting often and it is very refreshing, a topic that everyone can relate to.

 This is a band that are paving their own journey, with their own sound familiar yet completely their own, but with that warmth like you feel as though you already know them.  Formed in 2019, Cloud House made up of Conor, Patrick, Jack, Calum and Morgan.  The 5 piece have the ability capture human experiences through their music perfectly and that is what makes them so relatable.  

Described as 'rising, rousing indie rock' by Clash Magazine, and chosen for BBC Scotland's 'Track of the Week' twice, the band have also been crowned winners of the International Rootstock Festival as well as performed to a sold out King Tuts in 2023
