BAYBOARDS - HOW I WISH I WAS COOL

If you are looking for the ultimate sing along song then this is definitely the one! The Manchester 4 piece bring the energy in their new single ‘How I Wish I Was Cool’.  The song begins with filtered jangly guitars followed quickly by the vocal, flying right into the 1st verse and building subtly into an energetic and lively chorus that is guaranteed to get the crowd going.  A very catchy and addictive melody, with an upbeat sound underpinned with pensive lyrics of society's expectations and pressures “since billboards and videos tell us we are wrong, no one desires a skinny boy without strong arms” the drums in the chorus driving that high tempo mosh pit energy allowing the lead vocals to keep that heartfelt feeling to then opening it up so the full band sound can push through and allowing the vocal melody “How I Wish I Was Cool” to be the main focus.  The song continues at this pace until it reaches the bridge and for a short time pulls everything back to just the lead vocal and guitars, “why will no one look at me” loops as the band builds leading into the final chorus, joined by a synth that just elevates the song to another level and in a live setting will definitely send the crowd crazy.  An absolute festival anthem.  Take a listen below
