DEL PREZ - SO FAR (EP Release)

Del Prez brings his most recent release, dropping his EP 'So Far' which has 4 tracks that oozes all those festival vibes and ready for you to be dancing in the mid summer sun.  He has been making a name for himself, through remixing various different tracks from the likes of Hyyts, Wukasa and Dev Green.  With his remix of Club Beiruts track 'The One That Hurts' reaching 30k streams.  His diverse musical influences ranging from Martin Garrix to Bring Me The Horizon, shapes his unique sound of addictive dance beats, but with those rock/pop elements pushing through.  'So Far' takes you on a journey of those different styles, with each song serving up something different and keeping you completely fixated.

Track 1 - Still Alright (Feat. Kendama)

Kicking off the EP with some drum & bass, this track begins with a melodic electronic synth that fades in with intensity and builds to bring in the deep bass line and introduces the vocals.  Those rock influences definitely coming through in the vocal line, with the kick drum quickly making its presence known as it gradually gets faster and signals that an instrumental break is about to come in.  When it does you are treated to a high energy drum and bass section with some melodic synths, guaranteed to whisk you off into a whole other world and get you pumped for the summer.

Track 2 - Heart Eyes (Feat. Cortne)

This track begins with some uplifting synths, a switch up from the first track this one brings a more pop style.  The switch up of style keeps you on your toes and just injects more feel good vibes.  A melodic synth in the break soars through,  The perfect sound track for your summer memories.  The vocals are not the main focus  in this track, the energy comes from the instrumentation which pulls you in and captivating you.  The vocal line is the addictive addition that you will find yourself singing subconsciously.

Track 3 - Self Destruct (Feat. Eleanor May)

The bass line groove and what a beat.  Bringing that funk, that will get you straight to the dance floor.  The bass line and the vocals compliment each other, flowing side by side and the low tones from both get right inside your head.  This track feels darker in its atmosphere, there is a hazy club vibe to this song, different to the previous tracks we have heard.  Showing off Del Prez's ability to switch up the sound yet not straying from what he knows.  The catchy vocals will definitely get stuck in your head, addictive from start to finish.

Track 4 - So Far (Feat. Scott Bathgate)

The title track and final track to close out this EP.  Twisting the style again Del brings a pop rock sound, with the electronic elements pushing through.  The build up the song has in the introduction is the perfect rise into what sounds like a saxophone melody injected with reverb to really create that airy sound, it is the main melody through out yet its not in your face but you will not forget it that's for sure.  The vocals again gliding along with the instrumentation, nothing is over powering the other and they all fall into each other beautifully.

Get this EP streamed and downloaded, because this is summertime sounds and Del Prez is definitely making a name for himself, you will be hearing more and more from him.
