Born and raised in Hartlepool, singer-songwriter Michael Gallagher crafts his songs to tell real stories about real people and real life. From a young age Michael has hones his talent for music and it was until Michael's nan who gave him his initial introduction to music culture, gifting him a pile of CDs from David Bowie, The Rolling Stones and more. Michael was soon inspired to pick up the guitar he was given as a child and taught himself to play. He was soon playing shows in local pubs and bars, steadily building his local fanbase and it was this that led him to continue writing new songs, and develop his talent for honest, sharply observed lyrics. During lockdown Michael has been performing numerous virtual shows and festivals. Since the beginning of 2021 Michael has released 3 singles 'Lula', 'Call My Name' and his most recent single 'Time' and the year is shaping up to be a busy one for the singer, as he is set to go on tour in December.'Time' is an infectious get up and dance indie rock anthem, bursting with an energy that will fill the dance floors. The song begins with a psychedelic like guitar riff alongside repetitive "Oh's" that will get anyone listening singing along to instantly. The track then moves into a pace, with a lively gritty guitar riff gracing our ears, a familiar addictive rhythmic sound akin to the likes of Two Door Cinema Club, The Wombats and The Kooks. The groove shifts into an infectious guitar rhythm that introduces Michaels distinctive gravely vocals and then builds with some loose drum elements, then firing straight into the bouncing energetic chorus, where all the elements collide and pull you right in. The chorus is a belting out kind of chorus, as Michael catchily repeats "time" over and over wiggling its way into your head. We are also treated to an electrifying guitar solo that only amps up the energy even more. A catchy rhythm accompanied by Michaels impeccable lyricism makes this a song that will get stuck in your head and get you geared up for summer.
