THE SMALLEST GIANT

Haley Gowland is a musician from Colorado who brings her new indie project The Smallest Giant, which she embarked on last year.  She writes, produces and records all her music and has released singles 'History Repeats' and 'Change' last year, with latest single 'Back then' released at the beginning of 2021.  Haley already boasts a background in the music industry featuring in many projects, from her former band The Cranks opening for the likes of Paramore and PVRIS. 'Back Then' is her third single under The Smallest Giant and she is ready to take you on a journey filled with positive indie rock vibes.

'Back Then' a self produced track written, produced and recorded in Haley's home studio, it brings a natural and authentic texture that draws you in.  There is no huge production, it is simple and it is a delightfully moving indie track that washes over you and guaranteed to get locked in your head.  The calmness and warmth is where the power and dynamic tone sit.  The track starts out with a guitar and bass line rhythm that is instantly inviting, the expressive melodies from the guitar, drums and bass line all ooze those heartfelt and uplifting vibes combined with Haley's positive and encouraging vocals and lyrics.  The track continually builds on the energy, leading into a striking and storming instrumental break that is completely irresistible and danceable.  There is a beam of sunshine that shines from this track and you feel it as soon as the song begins, you just melt right into it's comfortable atmosphere and you just feel right home within it.
