CLUB BEIRUT

Club Beirut have already developed a taste for the music industry, supporting the likes of Catfish and the Bottlemen, We Are Scientists and Lewis Capaldi.  The union of the band looks to build upon these successes and bring their injection of addictive indie pop to an even wider audience.  During their first year, Club Beirut have accumulated a number of achievements.  They astonishingly hit number 23 on Japans Official Airplay Charts with 'The One That Hurts' (produced by Bruce Rintoul & co-produced by multi-platinum, Grammy nominated producer NicoTheOwl) released in early 2020.  The guys are beginning to flood the radio scene both locally and nationally being playlist by BBC Scotland as part of BBC Introducing.  With national media outlets such as The Sun Newspaper and many other local newspapers have tipped Club Beirut as 'Ones To Watch' in 2021.  Their latest release 'Eyes Wide Open' is yet another reason to why you need to know these guys.

The opening of 'Eyes Wide Open' is so anthemic that you just know this song is going to be electric and it certainly delivers on everything you want to hear in an indie-pop track.  Beginning with soaring vocals and exhilarating guitar riffs dripping in reverb to create a truly atmospheric listen, it will have you hooked as soon as you hear them.  The drums then enter with a rocking beat that will no doubt get you up on your feet.  Musically the song contrasts the deep lyrical theme, instrumentally the track sends you into a dance frenzy of uplifting and blistering rhythms and melodic grooves.  But when you listen deeply to the lyrics, they delve deep in exploring the breakdown of a relationship and how things turned out, having lost everything and losing trust, "keep your eyes wide open" a line in the song that Craig is telling to himself.

"Writing the song was actually a beautiful accident, I was actually writing a completely different song and at the time I couldn't finish it.  I got quite annoyed at myself and angrily thrashed out three totally random chords and instantly heard the melody of the chorus." Craig McInnes (lead Singer of Club Beirut)

Craig's smooth vocal delivery get right inside your head and sticks with you, there is a heartfelt tone, that when layered over the instrumentation makes this an absolutely captivating listen.  The track builds to a climatic ending where there is a thrashing instrumental break, the unexpected change of rhythm to a drum n bass style alongside a searing guitar riff will send shivers down your spine and will launch listeners into a state of indie pop euphoria.  The track is guaranteed to get a mosh pit going in the crowd in a live setting.  This is a band that you need to put on your radar, they have an intoxicating sound that you just can't get enough of.
