THE MARINERS

The four piece band bring a sound of psychedelic pop of the late 60's.  The Mariners burst on to the music scene in January 2020 with their infectious melodies and harmonious hooks.  Releasing three singles, which included fan favourite 'Cathy Come Home'.  Their debut album 'The Tides Of Time' arrived in the summer to much critical acclaim.  The band continued to record through lockdown, and are now gearing up for the release of their second album sometime in the Spring.  The second single which is from the yet untitled album 'There Before Time' was released in February.

'There Before Time' will send you back in time and bring a rush of nostalgia. The sound of the 60's oozes from this track and if you are fan of The Beach Boys or The Beatles then you will absolutely love this.  Beginning with some shimmery acoustic guitars, vintage electric guitar melody and a head bopping groovy bass line.  Then in comes the retro style vocals with glistening harmonies that are guaranteed to get stuck in your head and singing along, the organ that sits in the background bring those vintage vibes and adds to the psychedelic atmosphere.  The main beat of this track sits on the bass, organ and drum line, it's minimalistic rhythm driving the track from start to finish which allows the vocal hook and guitar melodies to glide smoothly over the top creating a truly mesmerising woozy feel track that both makes you want to dance or sit back and chill out to.  This is definitely a track for beach days or long drives.
