MIDNIGHT ALLEYS

Dundee 5 piece Midnight Alleys bring together a sound of psychedelic infused indie rock and have been delivering music that is  captivating their listeners.  They have been continually building their profile and gaining a following since their formation in 2017.  The band consists of Neil Morrison (lead vocals/guitar), Matthew Kermally (lead guitar), George Mackenzie (bass), Fabio Whyte (keys/vocals) and Ben Conelly (Drums).  The guys have played headline gigs in Glasgow, Dundee and Manchester, also supported the likes of The Wedding Present, Matt Hollywood & the Bad Feelings.  Going into 2020 the band released two singles 'You'll Be Just Fine' and 'So It Goes' which they then signed to indie label Deadly Records and music publishers Free Construction Music.  They then released latest single 'Sick Clown' which will be on their upcoming album set for release this year.

'Sick Clown'  kicks off with a brisk drum beat sitting at a tempo that rumbles through your body,  the groovy bass and funky guitar melody builds up to an addictive instrumental riff which is joined by the distinctive hammond organ that will get those hips shaking.   The feel good factor that beams from the shimmery 80s rock vibe will instantly wash over you as the track progresses, the vocals from Neil are so captivating and his distinctive tone grabs you, his delivery is subtle and smooth yet gritty and raspy.  The track doesn't slow at any point through out meaning that you are up dancing from the very beginning to the very end and before you know it the track has finished so you need to put it on repeat again.  Compelling and exhilarating and the level of energy that the guys deliver gets you hooked and wanting more.
