Leeds based band The Superlatives pack a punch with their gritty indie rock sound. The band formed in high school and began making a name for themselves performing in pubs around Leeds, aswell as heading over to the Netherlands and Germany. The 3 piece is made up of Charlie Noble (lead vocals & guitar), Tom Gausden (bass guitar) and Jamie Godley (drums & backing vocals). They have since gigged all over the UK and Europe and have gained their biggest following in Scotland and Germany. Their influences range from britpop, 70's British punk, indie and alternative. latest single 'Sonder' is an older song from the band, which they have just released this year.'Sonder' is a perfect slice of indie rock, beginning with punchy in your face drums, gritty guitars and lo fi bass line, that will easily find it's place within a 90's britpop line up. The vocals will definitely remind you of Oasis and anyone who is a fan of 90's britpop/indie will absolutely love this song and be adding it to their playlists. The upbeat driving rhythm, the catchy melody and the instrumental break towards the end of the song will have you hooked and get you up dancing. This song sounds unreal through heads and it will no doubt sound incredible in a live setting and will get the crowd going wild. Being the first release for these guys since 2017, it is a great comeback single letting everyone know that they are back, they are stronger and raring to go.
