3 piece rock band House of Wolves from Preston, have recently released 2 singles 'Flames' and 'Pass Me By'. The band consists of Henry who is the lead vocalist, guitarists and songwriter, Tom on the drums and Jake on the bass, all of which were in separate bands previously, before coming together. All 3 of the guys bring together a host of different influences to the band, Henry's influences are artists like Jimi Hendrix, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Black Keys and Pheonix, and his genres are blues rock and stoner rock. Tom's influences are Royal Blood, Lower Than Atlantis, Biffy Clyro and RHCP, and his genres are post hardcore, indie rock and contemporary rnb. Jake's influences are Tame Impala, Gorillaz and RHCP, and his genres are indie rock and psychedelic rock. 'Pass Me By' holds that essence of pure indie rock with a hint of psychedelic rock in there aswell, the depth of this track is felt as soon as you press play, with the low sub bassline, insane guitars riffs and full on drums. The flow of the rhythm the instrumentation has creates such a groovy vibe that will get you bopping along to! The gritty rock vocals from Henry get right inside your head as he tells the story of a relationship that shows optimism but in the end is ultimately doomed "I don't even know why, but every time that you pass me by baby, I can't see eye to eye." The track builds to a powerful instrumental section, that is lathered with a guitar riff that will definitely get you performing your best air guitar moves!

'Flames' brings that same upbeat high energy as 'Pass Me By', with the forceful electric guitars, punchy drums, low bass and vigorous vocals, it is just a complete in your face rock powerhouse track that the crowd will go wild with. Telling the story of "living in the fast lane, recklessness and being impulsive, and the overall living in the moment, where you enjoy yourself and not worrying about the future", which is felt tenfold in this track both with the instrumental and lyrics. These guys do love their mega guitar riffs and letting instrumentation drive the track and when you think the energy has reached the top, they take it to yet another level. The stamina and confidence oozes from this song and will no doubt take the roof off in a live setting.
2 incredible tracks that will send you dancing and jumping around! if you love your high energy rock and insane guitar riffs and solos then this a band that you need to add to your playlist!
