KEEP SUMMER SAFE

Up and coming South London based Pop-Punk band Keep Summer Safe, released their debut EP 'Meet Me There' in May this year and have since   released their second music video for 'Not An Apology'.  The band consists of Gian Carlo (Vocal/Guitar), Lawrence Murphy (Bass/Backing Vocals) and Aaron Planson (Drums/Backing Vocals).  They take a lot of their influences from the 00's Pop-Punk scene, bands such as Blink-182, Green Day, New Found Glory.  Pop-Punk is a genre that has and always will be there, loved and played, it stands the test of time and is still loved by old and new fans alike.

As soon as this EP kicks off you can hear the influences of Blink 182, Green Day, The All-American Rejects and Sum 41 coming through.  The first track 'Nervous' kicks the EP off with a bang, the upbeat fast tempo, recognisable guitar riffs and Gian's vocal delivery will quickly have you hooked on those punk vibes and you will want to jump around.  There is vibes of 'Summer' by Sum 41 in this track.

The upbeat tempo does not stop as the next track 'Sorry' begins, similarities can be heard in the chord sequence as previous track 'Nervous'.  There is a simple yet seemingly effortless delivery of the guitars, bass and drums.  The instrumental doesn't overpower the vocals, which are smoothly layered over the top and carry that recognisable punk singing style.  The instrumental for the next track 'Not An Apology' is very reminiscent of 'American Idiot' by Green Day, particularly with the guitars/bass riffs through out.  This track is definitely one that will get the crowd going and singing and will take you on a trip back in time.  The final track 'In Time' is again no different in style with the upbeat tempo, similar chord sequences as the previous tracks and the ever present punk packed guitar riffs and vocals, that will get stuck in your head and have you singing and dancing along to.

'Meet Me There' encompasses the authentic style of Pop Punk heard back in the early 2000's, with the recognisable upbeat tempo, guitars riffs and singing style, it may be a 4 track EP but you will definitely get your pop-punk fix and will leave you wanting more!  The band have definitely cemented themselves firmly as a band to watch.  Check the EP out below and the music video for 'Not An Apology' out below! ↓↓
