JACK HINKS

Jack Hinks is a singer-songwriter and producer from Edinburgh, he is know across Scotland and the UK for his songwriting, guitar playing and cross media experimentation.  Jack is becoming a staple name across multiple genres and scenes.  Following the release of his multidisciplinary project Fabric and single 'Los Angeles' that explores society and alienation, Jack has returned with the release his latest single 'Jigsaw'.  The track was written by Jack and performed by Jack Hinks, Fiona Liddell, Ben Lobban, Niall Rae and David Hill.  It was recorded and engineered by Garry Boyle at Slate Room Studios.

'Jigsaw' showcases the continual growth and versatility of Jack as an artist aswell as his musicianship.  Through the lyrics, the topics that he writes about and the music he creates that always captivates his audience.  'Jigsaw' explores a more positive outlook, where he sings about cultivating character and self-worth.  The guitar in this track is the main instrumental drive, with those incredible guitar riffs and solos that remind you of the rock and bluesy guitar of Eric Clapton and the intricate guitar playing of Simon & Garfunkel.  There is a mixture of Blues, Soul and Jazz in this track, with the mellow drums, smooth bassline and beautiful violin.  The female vocals that run with Jack's vocals, give a warmth and comfort that you feel and connect with instantly.  It is an incredibly crafted track and to see where Jack goes with his music is exciting!
