Gefahrgeist is the electronic musical project created by Scottish musicians Fiona Liddell, from Glasgow and Niall Rae, from Aberdeen. Both are already well established in the music industry, with Fiona having a 10 year music career, performing with various bands (Jack Hinks, Echo Arcadia, Loud Poets). During summer she has released a live album with her husband, Sam Thorne, on piano. Niall is a bassist and producer, having a degree in composition from Edinburgh Napier University, he has taken Gefahrgeist to new heights, with his creative drive and musical imagination. Fiona and Niall have combined their different musical expertise, to create this new venture. They have now released their debut single 'Graceless', a track that Niall has transformed from a simple piano song to an electronic anthem. 'Graceless' starts with a beautifully haunting vocal fade in, followed by serene harmonies and an elegant dreamy harp (recorded by Edinburgh musician Esther Smith (Twelfth Day), it has a peaceful vibe guaranteed to make you feel relaxed. The soulful vocals from Fiona radiates a glow of warmth and passion that draws you in and will have you swaying along too. The track then opens up into a groovy beat, with intricate keys that will get your toes tapping! The harp comes back in towards the end with a beautiful solo and builds the track up perfectly for the incredible melodic finish that is packed with stunning harmonies. 'Graceless' is 5 minutes of pure euphoric electronic bliss!
