FURROWED BROW

Hailing from Manchester Furrowed Brow are a band that are definitely going to capture your attention with the uniquely unusual sound.  Their music takes a different route from the normal post punk sound, injecting instantly addictive, catchy, restless and slightly offbeat characteristics to create unforgettable melodies that stick in your head and will keep you coming back because you "just need to listen to that track one more time".  The band consists of Richey (Vocals), Alex (organ, synth, vocals), Ryan (bass, vocals), Meg (guitar) and Criostoir (drums) and they have dropped their latest single 'Pissing Superfluous'.

The first thing that stood out with 'Pissing Superfluous' is the lyrics are spoken more than they are sung, normally this would sound out of place in a song, as some songs can slightly overdo the talking element.  However these guys do it so well, in a way that you are completely zoned into how the lyrics are delivered, adding in the simplicity of the sung chorus that repeats "Pissing Superfluous" will 100% get stuck in your head and have you singing it over and over!  They go against the musical norm, showing that as a band they don't conform and are creating a sound that is completely their own and will grab the attention of new listeners!  The punchy bassline, haunting organ, gritty/slightly distorted vocals and the lo fi recording quality gives the track an old school vintage feel that you need to listen to!
