COLIN CLYNE

Colin Clyne is an Aberdeen based alt - folk/Americana singer-songwriter, who has recently released his latest single 'You Can't Wish a Good Guy Away' and it just encompasses the Americana sound, infusing elements of Folk, Country, Bluegrass and Blues!  Colin spent 10 years in California and has toured the United States playing venues such as The Viper Room in Hollywood, as well as opening for acts such as Mark Olsen  of The Jayhawks, Big Country, Donnie Munroe (Runrig) and Justin Currie (Del Amitri).  He is now back in Scotland and firmly making his mark and establishing his music in the UK music scene.  Colin has played his fair share of festivals, showcasing his music to audiences at the likes of The Tartan Heart Festival (Belladrum), Southern Fried Festival (Perth), Enjoy Music Festival (Aberdeen) and The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

When you first listen to 'You Can't Wish A Good Guy Away' you are instantly thinking Bob Dylan and John Denver.  The beautifully crafted melody and lyrics in this track, show the attention to detail amazingly well.  It is very reminiscent of Bob Dylan, with that deep Folk sound.  It's difficult not to pick out those Dylan influences throughout the track!  The tempo and the instrumental, the harmonica, guitar and his gritty raspy vocals completely oozing those Southern sounds and will definitely have you tapping your toes! There is also a beautiful subtlety in the tone and delivery of this track that is also reminiscent of the music of John Denver.  It is a track that I feel fans of both Bob Dylan and John Denver will absolutely love and come back to, and will put Colin on their playlists.  Have a listen to the track below and go give him a follow! ↓↓
