THE BATTERY FARM

The Battery Farm are a 4 piece Manchester based Gutter Punk band. Formed in 2019 by brothers 'Ben and Dominic Corry', The guys say "it was formed as a cry of despair; a terrified and furious response to a world that rapidly seems to be going wrong". Which is strongly felt within their sound, they have intertwined intense, deep rooted, hard hitting rock music with pain and passion, tied together with a sense of beauty and melody. Their sound has been closely compared to bands like IDLES, PIL, Fugazi and Peregrine's Ubu. While maintaining their authenticity and "creating something that is real, original and human". They write their music "about ourselves and the world we see around us with the guttural honesty and searing compassion". The band members are Ben Corry (vocals/guitar), Dominic Corry (guitar), Paul Worrall (bass) and Sam Parkinson (Drums).

They have already released four singles, showing their raw and guttural aesthetic. They are already at the stage in their journey, where they are making a powerful impact, gaining praise from Louder Than War, RGM and Manchester Evening News amongst others! "We are rapidly winning hearts and minds by bringing people something that is real, passionate and raw. We are presenting something borne from personal experience that chimes with the difficulties and anxieties that a lot of people face". Which is resonating with people and they are responding to it, they are creating a movement and will no doubt become a huge musical influence!

'Maggot Line' is the lead single from their upcoming debut EP 'Endless Unstoppable Pain' which is released on the 27th of November! The track is a powerful both lyrically and instrumentally. It encompasses the climate crisis and the economical impact that will follow as a result, making it a really hard hitting track as it is something that is happening and affecting the planet and people right now. The track does not slow down at all from start to finish, keeping you on your toes and keeps you completely focused the entire time! It is a short, straight to the point, raw, hard hitting track that you need full your ears with. Look out for the release of the 'Maggot Line' on the 23rd of October and also their EP 'Endless Unstoppable Pain' out on the 27th of November!
