FORGETTING THE FUTURE

Indie rock band Forgetting The Future from Thurso.  Formed in 2014, the band consists of Robbie McNicol, Connor Wilson, Max Paul and Jamie Mackay.  The guys have been recording and releasing music since 2016, 2018 was their biggest year, where they won: The SUBlist (The Scottish Unsigned Bands List) 'Battle of the Bands' in November, the top prize being the opportunity to record with L.A producer 'Ken Allardyce' who is extremely notable in his work with various artists such as Green Day, Fleetwood Mac, Weezer and The Goo Goo Dolls.  In 2019 they then signed to 'InTime Records' which is owned by 'Ken Allardyce'and 'Alan Greer', releasing their highly anticipated debut album 'Broken Phones & Hormones' in February 2020.  An energetic album filled with gritty vocals, unforgettable guitar riffs, funky basslines and intense drums!  Releasing the album along with singles 'Bluetooth', 'Cymru' and 'Sara Tonin', this single created a stir with music critics from both the UK and America!

Their latest release is single 'Cherry' and much like their previous releases, from the get go the track bursts through with a high energy rhythm and keeps that tempo through out with the heavy melodic guitars and pumping drums.  The track does not falter from that tempo at any point, through to the chorus build up and arriving to an anthemic chorus, that 100% guaranteed to get you singing and dancing to this feel good track!  The guys mentioned that 'Cherry' is a song about "Trying to maintain a good relationship while dealing with life's other distractions at the same time", and a song that will resonate with people, this track will definitely get the crowd going and singing back to the band.  Definitely a track that will get stuck in your head!  I look forward to hearing these guys live in the future!
